My in laws celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary in August. My husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary in September. A couple weeks later my parents celebrated their 50th anniversary.
I am so thankful for marriages that have stood the test of time. They are marriages that have endured times that have been very good and times that have been very difficult. Committed people in committed relationships in which divorce is not even an option.
I am thankful that my children have grown up with two sets of grandparents that have intact marriages and they live in a home with both their dad and mom. I know that this is not always the case. I pray the same for their future spouses.
In this season of thankfulness, these are wonderful things to be grateful for.
