I thank you friends for your concern and messages about my pregnancy/baby. It is nice to know that people are thinking of us :)
I went for my last ultrasound this past Tuesday (October 6th), the week before the scheduled c-section. The baby looked good and "scored" well on the ultrasound despite the fact that my fluid volume has increased again (amniotic fluid). The baby's heartbeat seemed to react well when I was having some contractions during the non-stress test. The baby didn't seem to want to move around too much, but the doctor seems confident that everything is fine.
I went for my last non-stress test this morning and the baby was moving more than the last time thankfully. Her heartrate was reacting well to her movement. I took several pictures of the ladies at the OBGYN office and was both glad and sad at the same time to leave the office for the last time, hopefully, before the c-section. The ladies have been so nice to me and I'm thankful for their care. I have tried to take a picture of my lovely belly.
How big do you think the baby is? My smallest was 8 pounds 12 ounces, my largest 11 pounds 1 ounce.

My husband has been busy building a new medicine cabinet for our bathroom. We bought one a few years back, but it was made out of particle board and the covering is peeling with all of the moisture from our showers.
He has also decided that while I'm in the hospital will be a good time to tile the bathroom floor. *reminder* We only have one bathroom with eight people in the house! He says that the toilet will only be "disconnected" for about 5 hours :O Hopefully he can finish it by the time the kids come home from school that day!
He is going to take off two weeks of vacation starting on the 13th and this project will keep him busy for part of the time. I will be thrilled when it is over and we no longer have a carpet in the bathroom. Boys and carpet in the bathroom don't go very well together!
My husband said a few days ago that he would love some pumkin flavored Whoopie Pies. I'll have to dig out the recipe. They are delicious and seem especially good during this time of the year.
I have been feeling like I'm kind of on an emotional roller coaster at times as the day approaches that we will get to meet our baby. I visited Caleb's grave today for the last time probably before the new one is here. I feel cheated. I know I am so blessed and I try to thank God all of the time for my blessings, but I selfishly want my Caleb here with me (us).
I will try to update when I can. I covet your prayers at this time for my family including the new baby and the surgery. Thank you my friends. Keep well and may God feel close to you.
With love and hope,
Cheryl

Fingers crossed all goes well for you (and the toilet!)
ReplyDeleteI'm going to guess 9lbs.2oz. for baby. Are you still schelduled for the c-section on the 12th? I had my amnio this morning, it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. THANK GOD!! I hope that we will have him on the 12th. or 13th.
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry that you're having a hard time missing your sweet Caleb. I miss my Isaiah too. Take Care.
Can't wait to "meet" your newest little darling! Good Luck (if I believed in luck but you know what I mean) with baby and the c-section and all the best with that whole toilet issue...that has me more scared than anything (GRIN!)
