Organizing, Cleaning and Weight Watchers

I have been organizing here lately.  When the children went back to school, except Elisabeth (2 years old), of course, I had looked forward to cleaning and organizing after a house full of children all summer.

I was able to clean the part of the basement today that stores all of our extra clothes.  I was also able to switch my summer clothes in my drawers to my winter clothes and I did the same with Elisabeth's bureau.  The whole time that I was cleaning in the basement she kept herself so happy playing with Little People and making up stories.  She hadn't seen those toys in about 6 months I think, so she was thrilled to be able to play with them.

This weekend we are supposed to get a lot of rain so we are planning on cleaning the attic out.  We have a lot of things stored up there and to make matters more complicated we had our roof replaced about a year ago and when they stripped the roof a lot of the debris fell into the attic (small pieces of shingles, nails, dust, etc.) and it hasn't been cleaned since.  It will feel good to get that done.

We live in a 1600 square foot house...all eight of us at times, so it is very snug here.  I actually enjoy having a house our size because we get to see our children a lot.  Even when they are in their rooms they are usually not alone for too long because they either share a room, or entertain visiting siblings.

As my children have grown older, it is nice because having a roommate insures a bit of accountability for how they are spending their time and keeps them engaged with their sibling/siblings.

I have also been working hard on the Weight Watchers program and as of last Saturday I've lost over 10 pounds.  The weight doesn't seem to come off as quickly as it used to when I have lost weight before (I'm a lifetime member of Weight Watchers), but I am here for the long haul, Lord willing.

With Hope,
Cheryl

  2. Elisabeth is so beautiful! Way to go on the ten pounds! It is a struggle to get started on stuff around the house, but once you see the improvement you feel better. We lived in a 1100 sq single wide mobile home now we live in 1700 sq plus another 1000 for basement so we have a 2700sq home they don't count the basement though it's weird ... and it drives me crazy trying to take care of everything I have to, but I am thankful to the Lord we was blessed with it. Have a great weekend my friend.

I have horses, goats and pigs right down the road. The best part there is no bad odor.I love it, I like cows and the ones out back will let you rub their heads they are so sweet!

    1. I thought that your property might have pastures next to it. How neat! I grew up where there were lots of farm land/animals. Now we live in Eastern MA and there are hardly any farms/animals compared to Western, MA I miss it in some ways.

      Have a great day Trennia!
